I'm a founder and forward engineer at Dotte Product, a vision AI company. I design and implement computer vision systems for manufacturers.
The core value of Dotte Product is that custom-trained models running on off-the-shelf hardware will always outperform generic vision AI solutions.
For one client that looked like developing a camera / edge device / PLC system that detects product defects in real-time and decides in a split-second how that product should be further processed.
With a custom-trained object detection model at its heart, my system resulted in a 95% success rate (a 30% increase) with a multi-million dollar revenue unlock for one major manufacturer.
